Kate is an executive coach who is recognised for her ability to develop a trust based relationship with her clients. She does this by creating a safe space for the client to work through various topics and by being an objective and challenging partner who is totally focused on her client and their development.
Kate has over 30 years of business experience. Her unique coaching offering is her ability to relate in a “real world” way to the challenges of business and leadership development.
At Executive Level in AIB she held the position of Head of Learning and Development for six years, during which time she led the creation and implementation of a career development and succession planning framework.
She also implemented a 360 degree feedback and coaching model for all management positions, and delivered a range of interventions to develop business acumen for senior management.
She also held Executive roles in Operations and Strategy functions and is recognised for her strategic thinking ability and her change management skills, having led a number of significant Change Management projects throughout the Bank.
A total believer that a business is only as good as its people, Kate has invested hugely in people development, in helping people understand how their role contributes to the success of the organisation, and in the achievement of business results through clarity of direction and relentless focus on simplicity and service.
Her leadership experience spans Human Resources, Customer Service, Strategy and Operations functions, and she has led cross functional teams ranging in size from 20 – 500.
Kate has coached clients in the Pharmaceutical, Technology, Financial, Not for Profit, & Public Service sectors. Kate is passionate about optimising personal energy and is particularly interested in the impact of thinking patterns on energy levels; she has studied Bio-Energy at Diploma level, and has undertaken some speaking engagements on increasing Personal Resilience.
Kate undertook her coaching training at the Irish Management Institute, graduating with a Diploma in Executive Coaching, in which she was awarded first class honours.
She also holds an MSc in Business Administration from Trinity College Dublin, as well as a Diploma in Human Resources & Industrial Relations from the National College of Industrial Relations.
She is a fellow of the Institute of Bankers, a member of the Mentoring & Coaching Association of Ireland, a member of the Women’s Executive Network and a director of Misean Cara.
