Clive is an experienced business leader and a respected coach of organisation leaders and top teams. He has worked as a coach across a wide range of organisations and sectors.

He has coached Chairs, CEOs and function directors on a one to one basis as well as carrying out board reviews and developing top executive teams.

A qualified master coach, Clive brings to his business coaching a range of business and life experiences together with in-depth study of coaching practice. He is insightful and empathetic and believes strongly in the ability of clients to develop their potential and achieve business and life goals.

The focus of Clive’s business experience has been in the area of transformational change. He led major change programmes for Guinness in Dublin and Nigeria as M.D. of those businesses. He also brought about significant change in Associated Irish Gases Ltd., where he was M.D.

In his career with Guinness and Diageo, Clive gained significant international experience having worked in London and Lagos and also been part of the Diageo Global HR and Corporate Affairs leadership teams.

He has held a number of external board positions and chairmanships. These include President of CIMA Ireland and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Common Purpose, Headway and the Coombe Hospital.

He was an adjunct professor of the NCI, and is a board member of the Sisk Group of Companies, Dublin Innovation Centre and The Iveagh Trust. Clive is a former member of the Top Level Appointments Committee (TLAC) which recommends candidates for the most senior positions in the Civil Service to the Minister/Government.

He has coached across a wide range of business sectors, semi-state and voluntary organisations. He engages with clients on strategy, facilitating problem solving on major issues, helping clients deal with difficult relationships, building self-awareness, confidence and belief in themselves, and working with them on their personal development.

He listens well and brings a keen analytical and insightful mind to his work. He is prepared to challenge his clients to reach their full potential.

He has had a strong interest in sport all his life – playing, coaching, managing and spectating. He has a wife and six daughters who provide great fulfilment in his life and continuous learning!

Clive holds a B.Comm. (Hons.) from University College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He is a Master Coach accredited by Middlesex University.
