Barbara is a highly qualified executive coach, with over 25 years of business experience. The combination of her insightful coaching skills and executive and board experience brings significant value to her clients.

The primary agenda issues Barbara has worked through with her clients are leadership development, personal development, dealing with conflict and progressing through career challenges. She has an empathic, calm and client-centred coaching style.

Barbara held senior executive positions in financial services and the drinks industry with Irish Permanent plc, AIB Capital Markets, Guinness and Showerings (Ireland).

Between 1993 and 2000, she was General Manager, Marketing for Irish Permanent plc., with responsibility for brand and product communications, was media spokesperson on those areas, headed up the Broker and Direct business units and managed feasibility/new business projects on distribution models and potential JV’s.

Prior to that she was with AIB plc, with responsibility for the marketing of the businesses within AIB Capital Markets. Before moving into financial services in 1989, she held a number of marketing positions in the drinks industry, firstly with Guinness Group Sales (I) Ltd., and then with Showerings (Ireland) Ltd. Brands she worked on during that time included Guinness, Kaliber, Budweiser, Stag and Britvic.

Barbara has nine years experience as a non-executive director in semi-state, financial services and charity sectors with The National Lottery, EBS Building Society, Young Social Innovators and Pathways.

Barbara undertook her coaching training at Smurfit Graduate Business School, graduating from the Diploma in Executive Coaching, in which she obtained first place, and the Advanced Diploma in the Psychology of Executive Coaching.

Barbara subsequently became a tutor on the Diploma course and is qualified in a number of psychometric assessment tools. She also holds an MBS (Marketing) 1992 from Smurfit, in which she obtained first place, and is a Fellow and past Chairman of the Marketing Institute.
